May 2025 sees the return of humus\u00ae<\/strong>, the four-monthly magazine published for the first time in April 1973 and edited by Gianni Sassi<\/strong>. 50 years later, the magazine returns in a new digital format.<\/p>

The project is supported by Iris Ceramica Group<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with a view to fostering change starting from ideas.<\/p>

humus\u00ae starts from the exhibition \u2018Art D\u00e9co. Il trionfo della modernit\u00e0<\/strong>\u2019, a prestigious setting for starting to talk about its return. This digital magazine takes an all-round look at culture and creativity, with a privileged focus on ceramics.<\/p>

Coordinated by the journalist Antonella Galli<\/strong>, each issue of the magazine will investigate a high-impact topic, discussed by sector journalists and experts from different fields, as also stated in the humus\u00ae<\/strong> manifesto<\/strong>: \u201cWe offer a space for the interpreters of design and ceramics, and for the voices of science and creativity \u2013 artists, photographers, researchers, scholars, experimenters \u2013 to illustrate their latest research works.<\/em>
We will investigate a range of topics: economics, sociology, literature, geopolitics, physics, biology, computing, creating connections and synapses useful for understanding reality.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Journalist and author, for over twenty years Antonella has been exploring and writing about the world of creativity and design. Her work has appeared in Il Venerd\u00ec di Repubblica<\/em>, Grazia<\/em>, Bell\u2019Italia<\/em>, and Bell\u2019Europa<\/em>, among others. She collaborated for many years with Interni<\/em> magazine. For Rai Radio3, she wrote and hosted four series on Italian stories and people. For several years now, she has been writing the \u201cFurniture & Design\u201d section for Il Sole 24 Ore<\/em>.<\/p>

Giulia Marani<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Giulia Marani (Genoa, 1983) is a professional journalist. She coordinates the design section of the contemporary art and culture magazine Artribune<\/em>, for which she also edits the annual supplement dedicated to Milan Design Week. She collaborates with institutions such as Salone del Mobile.Milano and Triennale Milano on their editorial projects and has written for industry publications including Icon Design<\/em>, Sky Arte<\/em>, and Casa Vogue Brasil<\/em>.<\/p>

After graduating from the University of Milan, she specialized in Publishing at Paris X-Nanterre and worked for several years in the Paris editorial offices of Architectures \u00e0 vivre<\/em> and EcologiK<\/em>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Ifeoluwa Adedeji<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Ifeoluwa Adedeji is a journalist who splits her time between Milan and London. She also works as a content strategist specialising in design and lifestyle. Born in Nigeria and raised in London, she brings a global perspective and deep cultural curiosity to her storytelling.\u00a0<\/p>

Her writing has appeared in leading international publications, including\u00a0The Observer,<\/em>\u00a0The New York Times<\/em>,\u00a0Financial Times<\/em>,\u00a0World of Interiors,<\/em>\u00a0Wallpaper<\/em>,\u00a0ICON<\/em>, and\u00a0Architectural Digest<\/em>, among others.<\/p>

Irene Biolchini<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Irene Biolchini is a lecturer and curator. She has collaborated as Guest Curator with the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, for which she has conceived site-specific exhibitions since 2012. Luisa Castiglioni<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>

She has long worked as a freelance journalist and editor, telling stories about architecture, design, and people for magazines (Living \u2013 Corriere della Sera<\/em>, Abitare<\/em>, IoArch<\/em>, DDN<\/em>, we:ll<\/em>, Domus<\/em>, Grazia<\/em>), as well as for design firms, archives, and cultural institutions.<\/p>

Her daily work revolves around reading, research, and the writing of passionate, rigorously documented texts, in which she seeks to instill what drives her: curiosity, a thirst for knowledge, an almost obsessive attention to detail, and small yet resolute fragments of character.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
